Goddess Cheers Devotees on Saptha Vahanams

Tiruchanoor, 19 Feb. 21: The Goddess of Prosperity, Sri Padmavathi Devi blessed Her devotees on Saptha Vahanams from dawn to dusk on Friday as part of Radhasapthami festivities observed in Tiruchanoor.

The Vahana Sevas commenced with Suryaprabha Vahanam at 7:30am followed by Hamsa, Aswa, Garuda, and Chinna Sesha till afternoon. Between 3:30pm and 4:30pm Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the Goddess. Later in the evening Chandraprabha and Gaja Vahana Sevas were performed.

On the other hand, in the sub-temple of Sri Suryanarayana, the processional deity took out a celestial ride on Aswa Vahanam and blessed the devotees at 6am.

DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani and other staff members were also present.

Radha Saptami Fervour Grips Local Temples

Tirupati, 19 Feb. 21:The annual fete Radhasapthami was observed with grandeur in all TTD-run temples in and around Tirupati on Friday.

While in Sri Kodandaramalayam, Suryaprabha and Chandraprabha Vahanams were observed in morning and in evening, in Srinivasa Mangapuram and at Appalayagunta Tiruchi was observed in the morning.

In the temples at Narayanavanam and Nagalapuram all the vahana sevas were observed in Ekantam.

Lord Govindarja Swamy Rides Seven Vahanams

Tirupati, 19 Feb. 21: The Radhasapthami festivities in the most ancient temple of Sri Govindaraja Swamy in Tirupati commenced with Chakrasnanam during the early hours on Friday.

The Sudarshana Chakrattalwar was rendered Chakrasnanam in Ekantam in a huge vessel (Gangalam) at the Kalyana Mandapam in the temple at 4:30am.

Later the Vahana Sevas commenced with Suryaprabha at 5:30am followed by Hamsa Vahana, Hanumantha Vahana, Pedda Sesha, Mutyapu Pandiri, Saravabhoopala and Garuda Vahanam. The devotees were enthalled at the sight of Saptha Vahana Seva of the deity.

Special Grade DyEO Sri Rajendrudu and other temple staff were also present.
