Nakshatra Satra Yagam Concluded



Seeking the divine intervention to rescue the humanity from the clutches of Covid, TTD has mulled a unique Nakshatra Satra Yagam which concluded in Tirumala on Tuesday.

 

This religious event took place in Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetam at Tirumala. This unique Yagam began on May 9. Each day dedicated to a star in constellation as per Hindu almanac and exam was performed with religious fervour. Apart from the 27 stars in Hindu scriptures, Yagam was also performed on Abhijit star.

 

Apart from the star yagams, Srouta yagams were also performed invoking the blessings of Sri Surya Bhagavan, Chandra, Nakshatra Samanya, Aditi and Yagna Swaroopa Vishnu.

 

This Yagam took place under the supervision of Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham Principal Sri KSS Avadhani.

 

Ritwiks and Vedic faculty were also present.

 

Koil Alwar Tirumanjamam Held at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple at Appalayagunta




The traditional Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam for the annual brahmotsavam in Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple at Appalayagunta was held in the temple on Tuesday in Ekantam.

 

As part of this sacred event, the entire temple premises, puja utensils were cleansed with aromatic mixture Parimalam.

 

The annual nine day event will be observed from June 19 till June 27 with Ankurarpana on June 18 in Ekantam as per Covid guidelines.

TS CS participated in a webinar from BRKR Bhavan organised by TS Medical Council

Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar IAS said that the Honourable Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekar Rao has been in the forefront in leading the administration in its fight against Covid 19.  Participating in a webinar organised by the Telangana State Medical Council from the BRKR Bhavan today, he said that the Chief Minister personally visited Gandhi and MGM hospitals and interacted with the patients which is a morale booster for the patients as well as the medical fraternity.

            The government under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister has taken some innovative steps which resulted in not only less active positive cases but also less fatalities compared to many other states in the country.  Chief Secretary informed that as per the directions of the Honourable Chief Minister the government equipped the health department with human resources, infrastructure and other systems.  Further, all the hospital beds in government hospitals are being provided with oxygen facilities.  Sufficient tankers  have also been procured.  Tenders have also been floated for setting up Liquid Medical Oxygen plants in all government hospitals.  The government is also fully geared up to tackle the 3rd wave .

            Referring to the vaccination programme, Chief Secretary said that in order to ensure optimal utilization of the vaccines provided by the government of India, the state government has initiated the programme of vaccinating high exposure group persons on a priority basis.

The webinar  organised by the Telangana State Medical Council on Lessons learnt and future strategies on Covid 19 was attended by eminent Doctors including Dr Guleria of AIIMS, Health Secretary Rizvi, VC Karunakar Reddy, Dr Ramesh Reddy,  Dr Nageswar Reddy and TSMC Chairman Dr Ravinder Reddy among others.

TS CS held a review meeting with officials on growing of Oil Palm at BRKR Bhavan

Chief Secretary  Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS  informed that the Honourable Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekar Rao is very keen to increase oil palm cultivation in the state.  He observed that the state has many innovative and progressive farmers who can be sensitised to take up oil palm cultivation which has a  huge potential and will also help reduce the import bill of the country. 

Chief Secretary held a review meeting with officials on increasing oil palm cultivation in the state at BRKR Bhavan today.  Importing of quality sprouts, establishing of nurseries, identifying potential private companies for setting up factories in the state and other logistic issues were discussed during the course of meeting.

TS CS held a review meeting on TS Cooperative Apex Bank (TSCAB) on construction of godowns in the State

As per the directions of  Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS., Chief Secretary  held a review meeting with the  officials of  Telangana State  Cooperative  Apex Bank (TSCAB) today at BRKR Bhavan  on the  construction of Godowns in the state.

 Chief Secretary has directed the officials to prepare action plan to speed up the  process for the construction of godowns through PACS, in the identified  locations across the  state. Chief Secretary further directed them to coordinate with the district collectors on land and other issues pertaining to construction of godowns.

T.Harish Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Finance and other Hon’ble Ministers held a meeting on cultivation of Oil Palm in the State



As per the directions of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K.Chandrashekar Rao,

Sri T.Harish Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Finance held a meeting along with Sri A.Indrakaran Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Forests and Environment, Sri Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS., Chief Secretary to Govt., on Cultivation of Oil Palm in the State.

            Sri T.Harish Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Finance said that the Oil Palm Cultivation will be taken up in a big way in the State for the next coming years. He said that Oil Palm cultivation will be taken up in large extent during the Year 2022. He said that farmers will be largely benefitted besides it is also environment friendly crop. He suggested various Department officials to plan to raise Oil Palm nurseries, but major constraint in increasing the area under Oil Palm is availability of seedlings.

Alumni of IIT Madras donated 200 Oxygen Concentrators to Govt. of Telangana today at BRKR Bhavan



Alumni of IIT Madras (1993 batch) donated 200 Oxygen Concentrators worth Rs.1.5 Crore to Govt. of Telangana today at BRKR Bhavan.

Hyderabad representative of Alumni IIT – Madras, Sri Suresh Babu along with Sri Rahul Bojja,IAS., who also graduated from IIT Madras batch 1993 handed over Oxygen Concentrators to Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS., Chief Secretary to Govt.  Chief Secretary appreciated the initiative taken up by the Alumni, IIT Madras for the social cause.
