ఈ మేరకు దాత శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలోని రంగనాయకుల మండపంలో టీటీడీ అధికారులకు పతకాలను అందజేశారు.

As part of its contribution, Union Bank of India donated a Ross Street RO 1500 Ride-on Sweeper Machine worth Rs. 20 lakhs, manufactured by Rossari Professional Company, for multi purpose cleaning to TTD on Sunday evening.

In front of Srivari temple Union Bank of India Tirupati GM Sri Patri Srinivas handed over the machine to TTD Addl EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary.

The Deputy EO Health Sri Somannarayana, Health Officer Dr Madhusudan, union bank representatives and other officials participated in this program.

శ్రీవారి ఆలయం ముందు అదనపు ఈవో శ్రీ సి.హెచ్.వెంకయ్య చౌదరికి యూనియన్ బ్యాంక్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా తిరుపతి జీఎం శ్రీ పత్రి శ్రీనివాస్ ఈ మెషిన్ ను అందజేశారు.

Seed Sowing Fete Signifies Preparatory Ceremony for Brahmotsavams

Ankurarpanam-the religious "Seed Sowing"ceremony, is considered as the ritual of prelude before the commencement of annual Brahmotsavams at Srivari temple in Tirumala. The Navahnika Salakatla (nine-day annual) brahmotsavams begins with Ankurarpanam which will be observed in a spiritual manner as per the tenets of Vaikhanasa Agama in the hill temple on the evening of September 23.

Significance: This agamic ritual symbolizes the successful commencement and prosperous outcome of a any religious festival. In this fete, Navadhanyas will be sowed in Nine different "Palikas"(mud pots). The emerging sprouts signify good fortune and the successful completion of the religious event.

Initially the blessings Goddess Earth-Bhudevi is invoked by offering special prayers and performing “Medini Puja”. Later Ankurarpanam or Beejavapanam will be performed with religious fervour in Tirumala temple as per the tenets of Vaikhanasa Agama. 

Ankurarpanam signifies invitation to all the deities of the 14 worlds, celestial bodies including Nine planets, Astadikpalakas-Guardians of Eight Directions to the nine-day mega religious event of Brahmotsavam hosted by Sri Brahma-the creator as per the wish of Sri Venkateswara Swamy-the incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu in Kali yuga.

NAVADHANYAS IMPLIES NAVA GRAHAS:

The uniqueness of Ankurarpanam it is always performed during the night at an auspicious hour. The Nava Dhanyas signify the presence of each deity including – Rice,(Chandra) Wheat (Surya), Tur Dal (Khuja), Moong Dal (Budha), Red Peas (Bruhaspati), White Peas (Shukra) , Sesame (Shani) , Yellow Peas – (Rahu) and Horse Gram (Ketu).

AKSHATAROPANA ON FINAL DAY

The seeds are sown in mud pots called Palikas and they are placed at different directions in a geometrical manner as prescribed by Agamas. For nine days these seeds are grown and on the final day, the seedlings were separated from the sprouts and offered to the presiding deity and this process is called “Akshataropana”. 

Conclusion: The auspicious germination of the seeds in Ankurarpanam on Beejavapanam signifies the successful conduct of the mega religious festival,-Brahmotsavams in a grand and spectacular manner.

On September 23, this religious event takes place between 7pm and 8pm. Before performing Ankurarpanam, the Utsava deity of Sri Vishwaksena-the Chief Commander of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, proceeds all along the four mada streets encircling the main shrine in a celestial procession to supervise the arrangements for the big festival of his Master.

ఈ ఏడాది శ్రీవారి వార్షిక బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు సెప్టెంబర్ 24వ తేదీ నుండి తిరుమలలో  ప్రారంభం కానున్నాయి. వైఖానస ఆగమ సాంప్రదాయం ప్రకారం సెప్టెంబర్ 23వ తేదీ రాత్రి 7గంటల నుండి 8 గంటల మధ్యలో నిర్వహించే ''అంకురార్పణ'' ఘట్టంతో ఈ  బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలకు బీజం పడనుంది.

ఆలయంలోని యాగశాలలో అంకురార్పణ ఘట్టాన్ని శాస్త్రోక్తంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఆగమశాస్త్రం ప్రకారం ప్రతి వైదిక ఉత్సవానికి ముందు అంకురార్పణ చేపడతారు. నవధాన్యాలను మొలకెత్తించి ఈ భూమండలమంతా పాడిపంటలతో, పశుపక్ష్యాదులతో సుభిక్షంగా, సస్యశ్యామలంగా ఉండాలని భగవంతుడిని ప్రార్థిస్తారు.

సేనాధిపతి ఉత్సవం ….

శ్రీవారి సర్వసైన్యాధ్యక్షుడు శ్రీ విష్వక్సేనులవారిని 

ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆలయ నాలుగు మాడ వీధుల్లో ఊరేగింపు చేపడతారు. జగద్రక్షకుడైన శ్రీవారికి నిర్వహించే బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల ఏర్పాట్లను పర్యవేక్షించేందుకు శ్రీ విష్వక్సేనులవారు ఈ విధంగా మాడ వీధుల్లో ఊరేగుతారని ప్రాశస్త్యం.

మేదినిపూజ….

నవధాన్యాలు మొలకెత్తేందుకు అవసరమైన పుట్టమన్ను కోసం ముందుగా భూదేవిని ప్రసన్నం చేసుకునేందుకు మేదినిపూజ నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా అర్చకులు భూసూక్తాన్ని పఠిస్తారు.

అంకురార్పణ….

వైఖానస ఆగమంలోని క్రతువుల్లో అంకురార్పణం లేదా బీజవాపనం అత్యంత ముఖ్యమైనది. ముందుగా పాలికల్లో(మట్టికుండలు) పుట్టమన్ను నింపుతారు. వీటిలో నవగ్రహాలకు సంకేతంగా నవధాన్యాలు పోస్తారు. ఈ విత్తనాలు బాగా మొలకెత్తాలని కోరుతూ ఓషధీసూక్తాలను పఠిస్తారు. ఇందులో గోధుమలు – సూర్యుడు, బియ్యం – చంద్రుడు, కందులు – కుజుడు, పెసలు – బుధుడు, శనగలు – బృహస్పతి, అలసందలు – శుక్రుడు, నువ్వులు – శని, మినుములు – రాహువు, ఉలవలు – కేతువుకు సంకేతంగా భావిస్తారు. అలాగే యాగశాలలో ఈ పాలికల చుట్టూ అష్టదిక్పాలకులైన ఇంద్రుడు, అగ్ని, యముడు, నిరృతి, వరుణుడు, వాయుదేవుడు, కుబేరుడు, ఈశానతోపాటు మొత్తం 49 మంది దేవతలను ఆవాహన చేస్తారు.

అక్షతారోపణ…

ఈ పాలికల్లోని నవధాన్యాలను బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల 9 రోజుల పాటు పెంచుతారు. చివరిరోజున ఈ మొలలను వేరుచేసి స్వామివారికి అక్షతారోపణ చేస్తారు. ఈ మొలకలు ఎంత గొప్పగా చిగురిస్తే బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు అంత ఘనంగా నడుస్తాయి అన్నది భక్తుల విశ్వాసం.

TTD has appealed that devotees should not offer any gifts during the celestial umbrella procession that reaches Tirumala from Chennai to be decorated during Garuda Vahana Seva on September 28 as a part of Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams.

TTD reiterated that the gifts given by devotees do not reach TTD and that the institution has nothing to do with these gifts.

During the Srivari annual Brahmotsavam, many Hindu organizations donate umbrellas from Chennai in a procession to Tirumala and present them to Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

These umbrellas brought in a procession are expected to reach Tirumala on September 27.
