Dr. MCR HRD Institute Organizes Telangana Orientation Program for Officers of Three Districts at Khammam
Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana
organised “Reorientation and Capacity Building Program for District Officers of
Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Mahabubabad in the Context of Telangana on
May 27th, 2017 at Rajpath Function Hall, Khammam.
Ramachandru Tejavath, IAS (Retd.), Special Representative of Telangana in New
Delhi, in his Inaugural Address, paid rich tributes to the
heroic struggle of Government employees in getting Statehood for Telangana and
called upon them to continue to contribute their optimum best, with the same
enthusiasm, for realising the dream of Bangaru Telangana. “The employees of
Telangana possess, in abundant measure, the required ability and talent.
However, this is not enough. The need of the hour is to demonstrate a high
level of motivation in performing their respective jobs”, he said. He stated
that sole dependence of the District Officers on the authority provided by their
respective positions has become a thing of the past and advised them to enrich
their ‘person power’ by acquiring job-related competencies, learning
inter-personal skills, and improving leadership skills. He said that
collaborating with colleagues, rather than working in watertight compartments, would
be a win-win proposition, considering the fact that different employees possess
different core competencies. He said that blind obedience to directions of a
boss amounts to abdication of responsibility and added that two-way
communication and brainstorming among team members would result in multiple
beneficial outcomes for organisations.
Dr.
K Tiruataiah, IFS, Additional Director General, Dr. MCR HRD Institute said that
the reorientation programs will be followed by a series of capacity building programs for all the departments in order to
empower the officers to realise the dream of Bangaru Telangana.
D S Lokesh Kumar, IAS, Collector, Khammam said that
Khammam is emerging as a hub of industry, business, and services and the
successful marketing of their products on account of its central location and
proximity to Hyderabad, Warangal, and Vijayawada. “The programs of sheep rearing,
fisheries, etc, are doing extremely well as these are community-based occupations
and the beneficiaries already possess the required skill”, he added.

Hanamanthu, IAS, Collector, Bhadradri Kothagudem district
underlined the importance of utilising the Samagra Kutumba Survey (SKS) data in
order to understand the unique needs of each districts, including all its
mandals, and villages, and to formulate strategies and action plans for their
development.
Dr. Preeti Meena,
Collector, Mahabubabad district underlined the
importance of capacity building programs in order to ensure that the landmark
reorganisation of districts and the launching of mega development and welfare
programs turn out to be a stupendous success.

“Know Your District-Plan Your District (Mana Zilla–Mana Pranalika)”
for Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Mahabubabad were released by their respective District Collectors. Ravi, Consultant, UNICEF
