aha to premiere the techno-horror thriller Chathur Mukham, starring Manju Warrier and Sunny Wayne, on August 13


100% Telugu platform aha, home to the latest blockbusters and a wide variety of web originals across genres, will premiere the techno-horror thriller Chathur Mukham on August 13. Starring Manju Warrier, Srikanth Murali and Sunny Wayne in the lead roles, the critically acclaimed film is directed by Ranjeet Kamala Sankar. The original version of the movie (in Malayalam) was screened at several international film festivals including the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), Chuncheon International Film Festival (CIFF) and Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF), to name a few. aha had unveiled the first poster of Chathur Mukham earlier today.


Chathur Mukham tells the story of a contemporary middle-class woman Thejaswini, a technology enthusiast who runs a CCTV solutions business with her friend Antony. She is particularly addicted to her mobile phone, which is rendered useless after an accident. When she buys a new smartphone of an unknown brand with attractive features at a low price, Thejaswini experiences a series of supernatural events that threaten to derail her existence. Does she have it her to survive the onslaught and arrive at a solution? Chathur Mukham taps into a rarely-explored genre in Indian cinema and promises a thrill-a-minute viewing experience.

Science and Technology play crucial role to realize the goal of Self-Reliant India: Governor








Hyderabad, Aug 5: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday called upon the scientists in the country to lead the country’s march towards self-reliance.

She said that science and technology play crucial role in realizing the goal of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. Research and innovation are vital for the country’s progress, prosperity, and sustainable development.

Addressing the 78th CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) Foundation Day celebrations in a virtual mode from Puducherry, the Governor exhorted the scientists to increase the number of patent applications, and trademark filings from our country.

“In order to create knowledge-based economy and emerge as the knowledge super power, we need to promote collaborative and multi-disciplinary research and get the maximum number of intellectual property rights,” she added.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that the proposed National Research Fund (NRF) with a massive outlay of Rs 50,000 crore, as envisaged in the National Education Policy-2020, will give a major fillip to the research in the country.

Expressing concern over our country’s dependence on other countries for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Key Starting Materials used by the pharma sector, the Governor called for the self-reliance in these areas so as to live up to our image as the pharma capital of the world.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the need to achieve self-reliance in pharmacy sector and reduce our dependence on other countries during the crisis,” she said.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan lauded the efforts of the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) for its proactive role in the development of indigenous vaccine, drugs, and other initiatives during the COVID pandemic.

“The 78th Foundation Day celebrations must serve as an occasion to reflect the past journey of the institution and re-strategize its future plans to emerge as the institute of global excellence in the field of chemistry and chemical technologies,” she added.

CSIR-IICT director Dr. S. Chandrasekhar, CSIR director general Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, CIPLA foundation managing trustee Ms Rumana Hamied, Chief Scientist Dr. N V Satyanarayana, Principal Scientist Dr. M. Chandrasekharam were among others who spoke at the inaugural of the foundation day celebrations.

Exclusice Fund for Cashless Medical Treatment for TTD Employees - TTD EO



TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has directed Officials to set up a separate fund for providing cashless medical treatment to all TTD employees.

 

Addressing senior officers meeting held in the Conference Hall of TTD Administrative building on Wednesday evening, the TTD EO said that all retirement benefits should be processed on the last day of service of the employee as per the circular issued on the subject.

 

He said Tirumala shall be developed with greenery and all roads and footpaths be beautified by removing fallen trees etc. ahead of annual Brahmotsavams. All cottages rooftops be utilised for the installation of solar photovoltaic power systems for generating hot water to pilgrims. He said the SVBC should give wide publicity over the ban on plastics in Tirumala through special jingles and scrolling.

 

Among others TTD EO reviewed the ongoing Alipiri footpath repair works and cottages development works, advanced employees training systems at SVETA, Covid Vaccination for employees below 45 years including below 5 year old children and parents, new ID cards for employees with better Photos, and Legal department to speed up case reviews with HoDs.

 

The EO also advised officials to reappoint the editorial board of Sapthagiri magazine and promote articles on Hindu dharma propagation and student-friendly literature.

 

He directed officials to organise a virtual conference with officials of Tata and Mahindra groups for expediting development works of the SV Museum.

 

The EO also reviewed the functioning of the FMS system and complaints cell for accommodation allotment organised for devotees benefit at Tirumala, besides the arrangements made for Vigraha Pratista and Maha Samprokshana events at Visakhapatnam SV Temple are slated from August 8-13.

The devotees who are coming for darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy from across the world should be served with more tastier and hygienic food, said TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.

 

Reviewing with Annaprasadam officials along with Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Annaprasadam Trust activities at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala, the EO directed the officials concerned to prepare a different menu on each day of the week for devotees.

 

During the meeting the EO said, as we are now receiving almost 14 varieties of vegetables in the form of donations from various vegetable donors, we can plan a different menu on each day and serve it to pilgrims. Negotiate with the donors and ensure that different menus are served to pilgrims on each day in a tastier and hygienic way, the EO maintained.

 

He also instructed to chalk out plans to increase the number of donors contributing for a day breakfast or a meal by enhancing publicity on the same which was introduced by TTD in Annaprasadam Trust a couple of years ago.

 

The EO directed the officials concerned to negotiate with hoteliers with a philanthropic blend of mind to set up hotels for serving snacks and beverages at all the Rest Houses in Tirumala on a cost to cost basis.

 

Later the EO also reviewed various darshan entry points including Supatham, Rs.300 tickets, Arjitha Seva tickets etc.

The annual Pavitrotsavams commenced in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati on Wednesday.

 

After Snapana Tirumanjanam in the morning to the Utsava deities, Pavitra Pratista will be performed in the evening.

*Megastar Chiranjeevi, Megapower Star Ram Charan and Star Director Koratala Siva's Sensational Movie 'Acharya' completes shoot barring two songs*

'Acharya', which has Megastar Chiranjeevi in the titular role and Megapower Star Ram Charan in a key role, is presented by Konidela Production Company and is produced by Niranjan Reddy on Matinee Entertainments. The massive film has successfully completed its talkie part on July 31st. Only two songs are pending to be shot. And the post-production works are going on at a fast pace. 


Talking about the progress, the makers said, "As planned, we completed the talkie part of 'Acharya' by July 31. Just two songs are pending to be filmed. From August 20, a song will be shot on Chiranjeevi garu and Ram Charan garu. Another song will also be filmed on Charan garu and Pooja Hegde in the upcoming schedule. With the picturization of the two songs, the entire shoot will be wrapped up. We are completing the post-production works, too, at a fast pace. Chiranjeevi garu's character will be very powerful in the movie. Mega Power Star Ram Charan is playing a character named Siddha. Koratala Siva, who blends message-oriented movies with commercial elements, is making the movie in his own style. Every single element that the fans of the Megastar expect is abundant in the movie. The teaser and the song Lahe Lahe are already huge hits. Ever since the movie was announced, expectations from Acharya have been unprecedented. And the film will live up to all the expectations."
