All Out Efforts to Grandly Celebrate Annamaiah Jayanti and Popularise His Sankeertans - TTD Clarifies




TTD clarified that it had made all arrangements for grand celebrations of Saint poets Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya’s 614th Jayanti and also strived to popularise his sankeertans in public domain.

 

In a statement on Tuesday TTD listed out the programs for Jayanti fete scheduled between May 16 - 22 at Dhyana Mandiram. In Tallapaka, at 108 feet statue of Sri Annamaiah on highway and at two venues in Tirupati.

 

Among others besides grand Srivari Kalyanam at Tallapaka, TTD had also organised music programs and organized Sadas at Tirupati cherished by many denizens 

 

Similarly TTD has published Annamacharys sankeertans in book form with meaning and commentary which is being released during Jayanti celebrations.

 

Another 280 sankeertans are recorded freshly and uploaded on TTD website.

 

Besides an all out operation to publish all sankeertans of Sri Annamacharya with commentary etc.

 

TTD is popularising the sankeertans through special programs on SVBC like Adigo Alladigo etc. to engage the youth in the devotional campaign.

 

TTD said in the backdrop of all these realities certain vested interests are deliberately campaigning that TTD was indifferent towards Sri Annamacharya Jayanti with an altruistic intent to malign the reputation of the organisation.

 

Vasanthotsavams Concludes

he three-day  annual celebrations  of  Vasantotsavam concluded at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor on Tuesday with the Maha Purnahuti fete.

 

As part of the final day events after the Nitya Kainkaryams, Sahara Namarchana was performed for Goddess Padmavati ahead of procession in the Friday Gardens followed by the Snapana  Tirumanjanam.

 

Later at night the utsava idol of Ammavaru was paraded on mada streets to bless the devotee.and thereafter conduction of Maha Purnahuti fete to herald the conclusion of the Vasantotsavam fete.

 

Temple Dyeo Sri Lokanatham,AEO Sri Prabhakar Reddy,archaka Sri Babuswami, Superintendent Sri Seshagiri, temple inspector Sri Damodaram were also present.

Governor launches Raj Bhavan School Magazine

Hyderabad, May 17: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday released the Raj Bhavan School Magazine at a special function held at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan, here.

The magazine is a compilation of the literary and art works of the primary and higher secondary students of the school.

Releasing the magazine, the Governor exhorted the students to pursue their passion in literature and art besides focusing on their studies.

“Extra-curricular activities are very important for the all-round development of the students at the school level and they need to be encouraged to pursue their passions besides their regular studies,” she added.

The Governor also recalled her school and colleges days, when she used to actively contribute for the school and college magazines.

Referring to the AzadikaAmritMahotsav celebrations, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan suggested the students to read and know more about our freedom fighters and their struggles and sacrifices for the freedom of the country.

“Knowing more about our freedom fighters and the independence movement, the students would better understand and value the freedom of the country,” she said.

The Governor appreciated the students for their literary and art work contribution to the school magazine and had instructed the Raj Bhavan officials to continue to implement the Raj Bhavan Annam, the free breakfast for the Raj Bhavan School students so as to improve the students’ nutritional status.

Secretary to Governor K. Surendra Mohan, senior officials of the Raj Bhavan, Deputy DEO Chiranjeevi, teachers and other staff members, and the students of the school were among others who were present.

Astadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva To Continue

TD has decided to continue the Astadala Pada Padmaradhana seva slated for every Tuesday in view of advance online bookings by devotees till June this year.

 

Earlier TTD had announced cancellation of the seva in view of summer rush of devotees but has now continued the seva that the advance bookings last till June.

 

Similarly TTD has decided to offer break darshan tickets for those who purchased online Tiruppavada seva tickets till June 30 or to accept refunds as the Seva has also been suspended. 

 

Annamacharya Fete Commences in Tirupati



The 614th Jayanthi Celebratios of Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya commenced in Tirupati on Monday.

 

The artistes of Annamacharya Project presented Sapthagiri Sankeertans while Sri Venkateswarulu Bhagavatar rendered Harikatha.

 

At Mahati also special programmes are organized for the occasion.

 

Vasantotsavam Posters Released


In connection with annual Vasanthotsavams in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram from May 19-21, the posters were released.

Vishaka Seer Offers Prayers in Sri Tirumala Temple








The Pontiff of Visakha Sarada Peetham, HH Sri Swaroopanandendra  Saraswati Swamy accompanied by Junior Pontiff Sri Swatmanandendra Saraswathy Swamy offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Monday. 


Following the temple tradition, first he offered prayers in the temple of Sri Varaha Swamy. Later on his arrival at Mahadwaram, he was welcomed in a traditional manner. TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy was present.
