Agriculture Department Higher Officials Meeting with Brazil Ambassador at Secretariat

        Meeting with  Brazilian Ambassador Mr. Tovar da Silva Nunes  and his Team was held under the Chairmanship of  C. Parthasarathi, IAS., APC & Secretary, Agriculture & Cooperation Department in the Conference Hall of ‘D’ Block, Telangana Secretariat  on 27-07-2017.

In the Meeting C. Parthasarathi, IAS., APC & Secretary, Agriculture & Cooperation Department Welcome the delegates and presented the Telangana State Scenario of Agriculture, Horticulture Sectors and presented in detail the initiatives taken by the State Government for upliftment of farming community and the APC requested the Brazilian Team for their initiation in collaboration for the supply of Germ Plasm of Brazilian Sweet Orange for its multiplication in Telangana for expanding as well as  retaining the area under Sweet Orange.   In this context, Commissioner of Horticulture has requested for Brazilian Collaboration for value addition and post harvest processing of Brazilian Sweet Orange as it is suitable for processing.

Suresh Chanda, Spl.Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department explained in detail the Schemes of Animal Husbandry Department and requested the Brazilian Ambassador for their collaboration for artificial insemination of Brazilian with local breeds of Telangana.

To the request made by the APC and Spl.Chief Secretary (AH), the Brazilian Ambassador positively responded in extending collaboration for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sectors further Brazilian Ambassador Mr. Tovar da Silva Nunes has explained the successful programme of their country in residue usage in Agriculture Sector and informed that there is Zero waste in Sugarcane crop of Brazil and given consent to extend the support for the effective crop residue management in the field of Agriculture Sector of Telangana.
