Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad (TBSP) constituted for the welfare of the Brahmin community in the State has launched the following schemes;
· HEALTH SCHEME
Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad (TBSP), is keenly interested in the social, educational and economic development and welfare of Brahmin Community in the Telangana State. Securing Health Insurance has become essential in the backdrop of rising medical and clinical expenses. However, due to lack of awareness and financial limitations for paying premium, many Brahmin community families are presently out of the Insurance cover. After careful examination and study Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad decided to share the burden by contributing 3/4th of the insurance premium to the Brahmin community families/ members situated in Telangana under this Scheme.
Benefits: Unlike normal medical insurance policies, this policy is exclusively made for the benefit of the members in community, and has the following additional exclusive features other than normal medical policies. 1) No waiting period 2) All pre-existing diseases are covered 3) Maternity coverage 4) New born baby will be covered from Day 1 5) No capping on room rent and other payments.
Eligibility: The Brahmin families whose annual income is less than Rs.4 Lakhs, Age below 60 years and not covered under any other schemes offering by state & central government are eligible to apply. Should submit relevant certificates like Caste and Income Certificates, Adhaar, etc.

Selection:
The selection shall be conducted by the Executive Committee at the State level. The Chairman is authorised to make exceptions in the eligibility/ selection process depending upon the merit of the case and his decision will be final.
Approved applicants will be intimated to make the payment of Rs.1000/- as their contribution. Once the payment is made by the applicant, the remaining amount will be paid by TBSP and the Policy will be issued and the Health Cards will be delivered to their registered address.
· SPECIAL SUPPORT TO VIABLE SMALL BUSINESSES, AGRO-BASED INDUSTRIES (OTHER THAN MSME ACTIVITIES)
Most of the Members from the Brahmin Community are very much interested to setup small businesses, Agro-based and allied industries, etc., (other than MSME activities). It is, therefore, decided to extend financial assistance/start up grant to prospective self-employable Brahmins as a special support to set up small businesses, Agro-based and allied industries/activities under the Brahmins Entrepreneurial Development Scheme of Telangana (BEST) Scheme.
Progressive Brahmins in Telangana among youth and professionals are now coming forward to take up entrepreneurship as a career to establish self-employment projects in view of Globalisation and Make in India initiatives of Government of India and Government of Telangana particularly. It helps to create additional employment opportunities apart from economic development.
Financial Assistance (in Lakhs)
A) up to Rs 5 lakhs : 75% subsidy/startup grant
B) Rs 5.1 lakhs to Rs 10 lakhs : 50% subsidy/startup grant
C) Rs 10.1 Lakhs to Rs 25 lakhs : 30% subsidy/startup grant

· "VAGDEVI SCHEME" FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE CANDIDATES APPEARING FOR TOEFL/GMAT/ GRE /GATE ETC.,
VAGDEVI fee Reimbursement Scheme to extend financial assistance up to a maximum of Rs.35, 000/- (Thirty five thousand rupees only) to the students who appear for TOFEL / GRE / GMAT / IELTS / GATE from recognised, registered and reputed institutions as one time reimbursement. The candidates shall submit their applications through online only.
Eligibility:
1. The student and his/her parents should belong to Brahmin Community and parents should reside in Telangana.
2. Annual Income should not be more than Rs.6.00 lakhs
3. Should be eligible for TOEFL/GMAT/GRE /GATE etc. examinations in the year 2017.
4. Eligible candidates shall fill their applications online.

· PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ALL BRAHMIN WRITERS/ POETS
Provide financial assistance to all Brahmin Writers/ Poets, up to an amount of Rs.50, 000/-(Rupees Fifty thousand only) for getting their selected Literary works printed, as one time assistance. It is also resolved to constitute an Expert Committee consisting of the following members to scrutinize the manuscripts of the Writers/Poets as per the norms and regulations of the Parishad and recommend for sanction of financial assistance on its merits and as per the following guidelines;
(i) All works on different aspects of literary, criticism, research-oriented and in areas of spiritual, historical, mythological and social as well as Ph.D. thesis are eligible;
(ii) Poor Brahmins will be given preference over others;
(iii) These books are not to be printed by the Publishers. The Book in printing should have a minimum of 50 pages of 1/5th crown size;
(iv) Once financial assistance is provided, till the end of 5 (five) years, he/she will not be eligible for such assistance;
(v) Any number of manuscripts can be sent of which only one will become eligible for financial assistance;
(vi) Once a book is printed, 10 (ten) copies are to be submitted to TBSP within the stipulated time. If the timeframe is not followed, the TBSP reserves the right to withdraw or cancel the order issuing financial assistance;
(vii) After printing of the Book, 10 copies are to be submitted along with the Advance Stamped Receipt to claim sanction of financial assistance. In the beginning of the book itself, it is to be specifically mentioned that "the book is printed with the financial assistance of TBSP";
(viii) The views expressed in the book are related to the author. TBSP will not take any responsibility whatsoever in the matter;
(ix) While applying for financial assistance, a quotation shall be obtained along with the size of the book, number of pages, number of copies to be printed along with the Brief Bio-Data of the writer/author;
(x) In order to return the manuscripts submitted to TBSP, a self-addressed stamped envelope is to be sent along with the application.
· LAKSHYA SCHEME FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS:
This scheme is intended to extend necessary financial assistance to the prospective candidates appearing for competitive examinations to join the reputed and recognized Coaching Institutes (including hostel facility) subject to the condition that their income shall be less than Rs.6.00 lakhs per annum from all sources put together. Such admission is also subject to the other eligibility criteria prescribed by the recruiting agency.
· SAMOOHIKA UPANAYANAMS
Providing Financial assistance to such Brahmin Organisations or Brahmin Seva Sanghams, which perform Samoohika Upanayanams to encourage the Sampradayam of Upanayanams. Under this scheme concerned organisation or Sangham which performs such Upanayanams will be given Rs.11, 116/- as financial Assistance to each Vatuvu. However, the seva Sangham has to apply for financial assistance before performing Samoohika Upanayanams and to submit the CD of the Upanayanams in the website after performing the programme for sanction and release of financial assistance.
The Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad after verification of the CD, as to how many Vatuvus got performed such Upanayanams, will release financial Assistance directly to the Bank Account of Brahmin Seva Sanghams.
· FUNERAL EXPENSES:
It was decided to extend the financial assistance of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand only) as funeral expenses of the deceased in all poor Brahmin families living Below Poverty line in the State
