Security at Sabarimala is turning to be high tech

The security arrangements at Sabarimala is going high tech with the Kerala Police installing 72 new model surveillance cameras in and around Sannidhanam. Around 40 cameras are the bullet models and the rest are pan till to zoom cameras. The control unit is working at the Police Control unit at the Maramath Complex. Police will be able to control the crowd with the help of these cameras. A big monitor has been fixed at the control room to keep the crowd in check for 24 hours.

 

The cameras that were installed at Sannidhanam has the facility to read face, wiper, washer, tour, and auto-focus. These techniques would help the police to detect faces that easily.  Cameras having zooming facility up to 500 metres were also included among the installed ones. The surveillance limit of these cameras us up to 36 kilometres.
