Knowledge on Sanatana Dharma is the Need of Hour - TTD JEO








Tirupati, 2 Jun. 19: Knowledge Of Sanatana Dharma is the future Mantra for the upbringing of youngsters with human and moral value studded life style, said TTD Joint Executive Officer for Tirupati, Sri B Lakshmikantham.

He was speaking as chief guest at the valedictory ceremony of Subhapradam training program at Mahati auditorium on Sunday.

He said the foundation of Hindu culture is in its dharmic principles, which played a tremendous role in shaping righteousness in current lifestyle of changing family system. 

The Subhapradam program would go a long way in enlightening the youth in moral and aesthetic values. 

He said Hindu dharma is not a caste or religion but an ancient lifestyle in India. The basic tenets of Hinduism were embedded in moral stories of Bharatam, Bhagavatham, Ramayana, Navagrahas, Asthadikpalakulu, Astadasa Shakti peetham, Dwadasa Jyotir Lingas, 108 Divya kshetras, Dashavataras, that were channelized by the HDPP.

He said the Sapthagiri magazine which had a subscriber base of two lakhs would be up scaled to 10lakhs as part of TTDs dharmic agenda.

He said the TTD plans to enroll the students trained under Subhapradam in its campaign for sanatana dharma. They should prepare an action plan as how to propagate their teach through parents, friends, Relations etc.

He said nearly 3023 students of 7,8,9 standards were trained at six centres in Tirupati from May 27- June 2 and TTD provided free boarding rooms and bus charges to them.

Earlier ISKON representatives of Tirupati exhorted the students to enhance their lifestyles and social values with the knowledge imparted at the Subhapradam training camp and utilise the same for nation building activities.

TTD officials distributed certificates to all students who participated in the training camp. Earlier archakas performed special pujas to Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi ammavaru followed by cultural programs rendered by the students.

Smt Krishnaveni, Head of Telugu department of SPW PG and Degree College acted as anchor of the event, Dr Ramana Prasad Secretary of HDPP, Epic studies OSD Sri Damodar Naidu and other officials participated in the event.
