New TTD JEO Takes Charge in Tirumala Temple

Tirumala, 4 July 2019: Sri P Basanth Kumar took charges as the new Joint Executive Officer of Tirupati and Full Additional Charge as Tirumala JEO in Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala on Thursday. 

Following the temple tradition, earlier he had the darshan of Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy and later entered Tirumala temple through Supadham entry.   

Initially, he took charges as Tirupati JEO at the designated muhurat and had darshan of Lord Venkateswara.  Later he was rendered Vedasirvachanam at Ranganayakula Mandapam by Vedic priests.  Temple DyEO Sri Harindranath offered him Theertha Prasadams and laminated photo frame of Lord. 

Later, Sri Basanth Kumar took Full Additional Charge (FAC) as JEO of Tirumala from the outgoing Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju at Ranganayakula Mandapam. 

Speaking on this occasion he said,  getting an opportunity to offer services to Lord Venkateswara by serving pilgrims is a rare chance and I wish I could offer services to my best of abilities",  he maintained. 

Later the JEO visited Pedda Jiyangar Mutt in Tirumala.  HH Tirumala Sri Pedda Jiyar Swamy offered him Asirvachanam.  The JEO also offered prayers in the temple of Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy.
