Donations, Srivari Hundi and Gold Offerings Shows Significant Growth

Tirumala, 6 Sep. 19: The current financial year has been very exciting, as the gold, silver, donations and Srivari Hundi offerings recorded significant growth in Tirumala than the previous years, said TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.

Speaking to media after the monthly Dial your EO programme, the EO said, when the donations for TTD Trusts and Scheme stood at Rs.91.91crores during 2017-18(April till August ), in 2018-19 the total figure remained at Rs.113.96crores and in the current year the total figures in the last five months was Rs.140.46crores, he added.

The EO also that the Gold deposits in the form of donations in the year 2018 from April to August is 344 kilos while in 2019 it was 524 kilos and the silver is 1,128 kilos in 2018 and 3,098 kilos in 2019.

He also said the negotiations of Tirumala Special Officer Sri AV Dharma Reddy with various banks yielded good results in clearing the coin currency bags which have been lying with TTD since several years. "We are hopeful of clearing all the bags completely by this month end", he maintained.
