Tirumala Nambi Avatrarotsavam Held

Tirumala, 6 Sep. 19: The 1046th Avatarotsavam of Sri Tirumala Nambi was held in Tirumala on Friday with utmost devotion and religious fervour.

The descendants of Tirumala Nambi observed the fete from 9am to 6pm by means of religious discourses by scholarly persons.

Sri Nambi was the maternal uncle of Saint Sri Ramanujacharya who pioneered kainkaryams in Tirumala temple.

While Sri Tirumala Nambi is known for having introduced Theertha Kainkaryam in the hill shrine some centuries ago which is continuing till today.
