Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam Performed in Padmavati Ammavari Temple

Tiruchanoor, 10 Sep. 19: In connection with the three-day annual Pavitrotsavams which is set to commence in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor from September 12, the traditional temple cleansing fete, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was performed on Monday.

As a part of this, the entire temple premises, including roof, walls, sub-temples, puja utensils etc. were cleaned and an aromatic mixture "Parimalam" is smeared on all which acts as a disinfectant and also a traditional organic amalgamation. This ritual took place between 6am and 8.30am. Afterwards, the devotees are allowed for Darshan of Ammavaru.

Temple DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani, AEO Sri Subramanyam and others were also present.

Meanwhile, Pavitrotsavams will commence from September 12 and concludes on September 14 with Ankurarpanam on September 11.
