Tirumala, 3 Oct. 19: The unique umbrellas that adorn the Lord Malayappa during the Garuda Seva donated by the Hindu Dharmartha Samiti, Chennai has reached Tirumala on Thursday.
The umbrellas, colorfully designed and embroidered by artisans were brought by the Trustee Sri R R Gopalji and were handed over to Additional E O Sri A V Dharma Reddy and taken inside the temple after a brief procession on the Mada streets
Srivari temple DyEO Sri Harindranath and the CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti were also present.
Of the 11 umbrellas, nine were retained for the Srivari Services on Garuda Seva day and two will be used at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple at Tiruchanoor during Karthika Brahmotsavams in November.
