Tiruchanoor, 30 Nov. 19: On the penultimate day of annual Karthika Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor on Saturday, Goddess Padmavathi Devi in all Her divine splendour took a celestial ride on the mammoth wooden chariot along the four mada streets encircling the temple.
The procession of Maha Ratham commenced at the designated Vrischika Lagnam at 7.55am. The devotees chanted Govinda..Govinda...witnessing Lord Venkateswara in Goddess Padmavathi Devi while pulling the giant chariot out of religious ecstasy.
The grand procession concluded at 11am in the temple centre on the pleasant cloudy day. The dance troupes which performed danced in front of the chariot added grandeur to the mammoth Ratham procession.
TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirupati JEO Sri P Basanth Kumar, Chief Engineer Sri Ramachandra Reddy, SE’s Sri Ramesh Reddy, Sri Ramulu, Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, DyEO Sri C Govindarajan were also present.
