In a bid to strengthen security in Sabarimala, the Central and Kerala forces held a joint route march through various parts of Sannidhanam. The bomb disposal and detection squad also conducted extensive inspections. The route march was organized by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Rapid Action Force (RAF), Kerala Police, Commandos of Kerala Police, Rapid Response Rescue Force and Quick Response Team. Sannidhanam Police Special Officer Dr. A. Srinivas, NDRF Deputy Commandant G.Vijayan, and RAF Deputy Commandant G.S. Dinesh, Commando Inspector V.G. Ajit Kumar, Duty Magistrate MP Vinod led the join route march.
The route started from Sannidhanam Vavar Nada and was went through Kopprakkalam to Pandithavalam up to Urakkuzhi. Then they reached the Annadanam Center through the Magunda building. From there, the march reached Marakkuttam via Chandranandan Road through Bhasmakulam and Bailey Bridge. On the way back, they have returned through Saramkuthy and marched through Kopprakalam to the new Forest IB and concluded the walk. The route march was held on as part of a nationwide security inspection on December 6.
