Government Homeopathic Hospital full-fledged in treating devotees

The Ayyappa devotees who come to Sabarimala can avail the facilities arranged at the Government Homeopathic Dispensary at the Valiyandapanthal here. The most effective treatment for allergy, coughs, fever, and muscle sprain are given here said the Medical Officer Dr. S Sreejiv.

Homeopathy offers the best treatment for diseases due to climate change and also to respiratory illnesses. Although no epidemics have been reported so far, the dispensary has been equipped with vaccines for preventing infectious diseases such as chickenpox and red-eye, as well as antibiotics. Nebulization is also available at the dispensary for those who faced breathlessness.  Infrared rays are also used to treat people with body pain.
The dispensary is open 24 hours a day. The police officials and other officials on duty comes here for treatment, said the Medical Officer.
Three doctors, one pharmacist and one nursing assistant at a shift are working here. Doctors and paramedical staff of homeopathy hospitals in various districts of the state work for 10 days each here.

The only a state-owned homeopathic pharmaceutical company in India, the Kerala State Homeopathic Cooperative Pharmacy, under the Department of AYUSH, provides the quality medicines to the dispensary.
