Sahas to provide medical aid to the devotees

The Sahas and the SRM SIMS hospital is helping the Ayyappa devotees who are climbing the mountain. The Sabarimala Sopanam Preventive Clinic, a joint venture of SIMS Hospital, helps the devotees who climb the holy hillocks. Sopanam Preventive Clinic is giving solace to the elderly who are climbing the holy hillocks with respiratory and cardiovascular disease, blood pressure and diabetes. Patients and Ayyappa devotees are provided with first aid. The primary treatment for minor injuries is available at the Sopanam Clinic.

Chennai SRM Medical College Emergency Medicine Specialist Doctor's service is available from the opening to the closure of the Pilgrimage at the Sopanam Clinic. The services of a trained staff nurse and a nursing assistant are also available. Shock box, a modern tool used for cardiovascular diseases known as AED machine is also available in the Sopanam clinic. Ayyappa Devotees who are climbing the hill can avail the services of Sopanam Clinic immediately if they experience shortness of breath or heart problems.
