Tirumala 21 Feb 20 ;On the auspicious occasion of Mahasivaratri festival on Friday, the Kshetrapalaka Utsavam was observed in a grand manner in Tirumala.
Though hill temple happens to be a world renowned Sri Vaishnava shrine, the Custodian-Kshetrapalaka happens to be Lord Shiva hence standing as a live stance for "Shiva-Kesava Abedha"(no difference between Lord Shiva and Lord Maha Vishnu).
A team of archakas reached Gogarbham dam and performed special abhishekam to the presiding deity of Rudra who is stationed here by chanting Namaka, Chamakas. Later they also distributed prasadam to devotees and returned to the temple.
