Srinivasa Mangapuram, 14 Feb. 20: The Navahnika Brahmotsavams at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram were off to a colourful start on Friday with celestial Dhwajarohanam at the auspicious Meena Lagnam.
TTD officer Sri Anil Kumar Singhal who took part in the event along with JEO Sri P Basanth Kumar later speaking to media said that, the Civil engineering works worth ₹24lakhs and ₹6.75 lakhs worth electrical decorations have been taken up for the grand festival.
He also said 250 Srivari Sevakulu, 150 scouts and guides deployed and Pushkarani has been cleaned and refilled with clean water for Chakra Snanam on February 22. The EO also said, the devotees shall also purchase Srivari laddus during the annual fete in the temple.
"Arrangements made for Anna Prasadam for 500 devotees every day while on February 18 in view of Garuda vahanam Anna Prasadam will be served to more number of devotees", EO added.
He said TTD has made floral decorations with 7 tonnes of flowers and the HDPP, Annamacharya Project, Dasa Sahitya Project artists are geared up to present cultural and dharmic programs every day.
DyEO Sri Elleppa, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, other officials, devotees were also present.
