Tirumala, 22 Sep. 20: On the fourth day evening of the ongoing Srivari annual Brahmotsavams, Sri Malayappa Swamy presented in the avatar as the king of kings on the Sarvabhupala Vahanam as Bakasura Samhara.
The objective is to display that all the Dikpalas of the Universe are just under His control and diligent scrutiny.
The Sarvabhupala listed in the legend are– Indra (East), Agni (south-east), Yama (god of death on the South), Niruti (North – East), Varuna on (West), Vayu (south-west), Kubera (god of wealth on North) and Parameswara on (North-west). To all these Astadikpalakas, Lord Venkateswara is the Supreme Lord and under His supervision the entire cosmos operates.
TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, Board members Sri Ananta, Sri Siva Kumar, Sri Govindhari, Sri DP Anantha, Sri Sekhar Reddy, Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Srivari temple DyEO Sri Harindranath were also present.
