Peacock Feathers and Kiwi Fruit Decoratins Highlight Srivari Snapanam








Tirumala, 22 Sep. 20: The holy Snapana Tirumanjanam of Sri Malayappa Swami and His Consorts was for the first time ever embellished with garlands and crowns made of Kiwi fruits and Peacock feathers that stood as special attractions on Tuesday. 

 

The sacred event of the Snapana Tirumanjanam was held at Ranganayakula mandapam in Srivari temple amidst Veda Mantra Ghosha under the guidance of Kankanabhattar Sri Govindacharyulu.

 

The spectacular two-hour long ritual Sri Malayappa Swamy and His Consorts were beautified with Abhisekam of scented waters and colourful garlands and crowns. 
Garlands made of kiwi fruits, pineapple, black velvet, pearls, Amla, Nandivardhanam, Peacock feathers, Pavitra Malas and rose petals enhanced the beauty of the deities.

 

CORN-APPLE MANDAPAM

 

The Ranganayakula mandapam, the platform of Snapana Tirumanjanam was decorated with festoons made of traditional flowers, corns and apples. The TTD’s SVBC channel gave a live telecast of the bewitching event, which mesmerized the devotees who witnessed the fete sitting at their houses.
