Tirumala Hills Echoes with Fifth Phase of Akhanda Sundarakanda Pathanam





Tirumala, 4 Oct. 20: The serene hills of Tirumala echoed with the rhythmic notes of Shlokas rendered by scores of Veda pandits during the fifth phase of Akhanda Sundarakanda Pathanam organised at Nada Neerajanam platform in Tirumala on  Sunday.

 

On this occasion, 174 Shlokas from 15 to 19 Sargas were recited by 200 Vedic pundits and scholars hailing from different Vedic institutions of TTD and also from National Vedic University and Rastriya Sanskrit Vidya Peeth. 

 

The event commenced at 7am and lasted for a little over two hours. At the beginning of the programme veteran, Annamacharya Project artist Dr G Balakrishna Prasad and Bullemma troupe presented Shri Rama Bhajana while in the end Dr K Vandana of SV College of Music and Dance presented Anjaneya Bhajana penned by RSVP VC Sri Muralidhara Sharma.

 

It may be mentioned here that in the first phase of Sundarakanda Pathanam which was held on July 7  second phase held on August 6, next on August 27 during and fourth on September 12.

 

Meanwhile, the Principal of Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham Sri KSS Avadhani, Vedic scholars Sri Pavana Kumara Sharma and Sri K Ramanujacharyulu recited 174 Shlokas from 15 to 19 chapters of Sundarakanda on the occasion.

 

Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, Vedic Varsity VC Sri Sudarshana Sharma, CEO SVBC Sri Suresh Kumar, DyEO Reception Sri Balaji, DyEO Panchayat and Revenue Sri Vijayasaradhi, Health Officer Dr RR Reddy, VGO Sri Manohar and others also participated.
