TTD To Open Vaikuntha Dwaram for Ten Days

 Tirumala, 28 Nov. 20: Considering the requests from pilgrims, after negotiating with the Peethadhipathis, Agama Advisors, we have resolved to open the Vaikuntha Dwaram for ten days starting from Vaikuntha Ekadasi day for the benefit of multitude of visiting pilgrims to Tirumala temple, said, TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.

 

The TTD Trust Board meeting took place at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Saturday. Some excerpts from the meeting:

 

@ The board has released white paper on its assets (1128 assets extending in an area of 8088.89acres across the country) which included the properties which were auctioned since 1974 with Survey number, place, board resolution, auctioned date etc.

 

@ To make Tirumala as a Holy Green City and pollution free pilgrim centre. As part of it, decided to run 100 to 150 Electric buses to Tirumala with APSRTC.

 

@ As a pollution check measure, to utilize more non-conventional sources of energy including wind and solar. 

 

@ Gold Malam works of Maha Dwaram, Dwajasthambam, Balipeetham in Srivari temple.

 

@ To take up the gold malam works for Surya Prabha vahanam at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple with 11.7 kgs of gold.

 

@ Advance payment of Rs.10,000 to the artists of Annamacharya Project as they do not have programs due to Covid.

 

@ Decided to take up Sanatana Hindu Dharma Prachara with Prachara Rathams. Some board members have come forward to donate for these special vehicles.

 

@ To re introduce Kalyanamastu - mass free marriage programme to the underprivileged couples with a new set of guidelines.

 

@ Boys Hostel for SV Balamandiram at Rs.10.75cr

 

@ Board Member Sri Kumaraguru from Tamilnadu has donated 4acres of land to construct Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Vulundur Constituency in his state and also come forward to donate Rs.10cr towards the temple construction.

 

@ Decided to continue its deposits in Scheduled Banks
