Governor flags off Black Cat Car Rally

Hyderabad, Oct 17: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has flagged off the “Black Cat Car Rally” at the Peoples Plaza, here, on Sunday.

The Black Cat Car Rally being taken up as the Sudarshan Bharat Parikrama by the National Security Guard (NSG) marking the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 75 years of Independence, celebrations.

Launching the rally, the Governor appreciated the role of the NSG in fighting against terrorism through its elite commando force.

The NSG has been exceptional in carrying out anti-terror operations with speed, precision, surprise, and stealth. They have successfully faced many challenges in thwarting and quelling the terror attacks.

The Governor paid rich tributes to all the martyrs who laid down their lives fighting for the unity and integrity of the country.

“The brave and courageous services of the armed forces are the main reason that country is peaceful and is progressing towards prosperity,” she added.

The Governor stated that she was happy to know that the Black Cat Car Rally of 15 SUVs, driven by elite NSG Commandos, will cover a distance of 7, 500km.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan appreciated the NSG for aiming to promote the spirit of unity and patriotism through the car rally.
