Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar IAS presented the Dak Sewa Awards for the year 2021 at a function held today. The dak Sewa awards were given in eight different categories to outstanding performers at the state level to the employees for their unblemished record of service, performance and productivity of the employee, devotion to the duty, leadership qualities and contribution of the employee in improving the image of the department.
On the occasion, Chief Secretary congratulated the winners for their
extreme dedication towards their duty and complimented them for taking risk
during the pandemic times to do service to the society. He appreciated the efforts of the postal
department in reaching out to the people, particularly in the rural and tribal
areas and providing Aasra pensions, Pattadar Passbooks etc at the doorsteps of
the people. He observed that the postal
department employees have always been in the forefront of service delivery and
financial inclusion.
He also acknowledged the departments efforts in recognizing the unsung
heroes of the state like Komaram Bheem, Chakali Ilamma, Ravi Narayana Reddy and
Maqbool Moinuddin and releasing a special cover to commemorate their services
during the freedom struggle as part of the Azadi ka Amruthmahotsav.
