Governor interacts with the academics on educational issues

Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday interacted with the academics from different universities of the State.

Speaking to them at the Raj Bhavan, here, she exhorted them to work for setting up of high standards of quality in higher education with a special emphasis on the all-round development of the students.

Believing in the core potential of every student, being responsible academicians, and creating better facilities to enable the women scholars to pursue the research are some of the points highlighted by the Governor.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has also called for the preparation of a comprehensive health profile of each student so as to ensure their better health.

She emphasised on the need for more number of hostels for girls in the colleges and universities, as the enrollment of girls in higher educational institutions is witnessing a phenomenal rise.

Creating better amenities for women teachers and girl students is vital in reducing the dropout rate in educational institutions.

Improving the employability skills by special focus on soft skills and life skills was also underlined by the Governor.

Senior academics from Osmania University and Kakatiya University took part in the interactive session with the Governor on health, education, and tribal welfare initiatives.
