Pavitrotsavams at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Vari Temple from 6th to 9th July




The annual Pavithrotsavams at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati will be held from July 6 to 9.


The rituals begin with Ankurarpanam on July 6 at 6 PM.

These festivals are conducted as per Saiva Agama Shastra to purify and atone for any unintentional lapses or mistakes that might have occurred during temple rituals throughout the year.

July 7 (Day 1): Snapana Tirumanjanam to Utsava Murthis in the morning, followed by Kalasha Puja, Homa, and Pavitra Pratishtha in the evening.

July 8 (Day 2): Granthi Pavitra Samarpana in the morning, followed by Yagashala Puja and Homa in the evening.

July 9 (Day 3): Maha Purnahuti, Kalasha Udhvasana, and Pavitra Samarpana in the morning.

In the evening at 6 PM, a procession of the Panchamurthis Sri Kapileswara Swamy, Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru, Sri Vighneswara Swamy, Sri Subrahmanya Swamy, and Sri Chandikeswara Swamy will be held around the temple streets to bless the devotees.
