208th Death Anniversary of Tarigonda Vengamamba to be Celebrated on 1st and 2nd August

The 208th death anniversary of the great Saint-poetess Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba, an ardent devotee of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, will be observed with devotional fervor on August 1 and 2 at Tirupati, Tirumala, and in Tarigonda.

In Tirupati:

August 1:

At 9AM, devotional music programs by artists of the Annamacharya Project will be held at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram.

At 10AM, a literary seminar will be conducted on the works of Tarigonda Vengamamba.

At 6PM, cultural and musical programs will be presented.

August 2:

At 9AM, TTD officials will offer floral tributes at the statue of Tarigonda Vengamamba located at M.R. Palli Circle.

At 10:30 AM, a music concert will be held at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram.

At 11:30 AM, a Harikatha (spiritual storytelling) session will be organized.

At 6PM, a cultural program featuring prominent artists will take place.

In Tirumala:

August 2:

At 9 AM, senior officials of TTD will offer floral tributes at the Brindavan of Tarigonda Vengamamba in Tirumala.

In Tarigonda (Birthplace):

August 2:

At 5PM, Kalyanotsavam (celestial wedding) will be performed to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at the temple in Tarigonda.

Devotional music performances will be presented by Annamacharya Project artists on this occasion.
