The Joint Executive Officer of TTD Sri Veerabrahmam stated that elaborate arrangements should be made for the upcoming Varalakshmi Vratam scheduled to be held on August 8 at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor, in view of the expected heavy turnout of devotees on that day.
On Monday, the JEO held a review meeting with officials from various departments at Asthana Mandapam in Tiruchanoor to oversee the arrangements.
He directed the officials to ensure the distribution of kumkum, bangles, and prasadam to every devotee attending the event. The Varalakshmi Vratam will be conducted in a traditional manner at Asthana Mandapam from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon on August 08.
In the evening at 6 PM, Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru will be taken in a grand procession on the Swarna Ratham (golden chariot) around the four Mada streets, providing darshan to the devotees.
Devotees (in a pair) can participate in the Varalakshmi Vratam by paying Rs. 1,000. Due to this special event, regular sevas like Abhishekam, Abhisheka Anantara darshan, Lakshmi Puja, Kalyanotsavam, Break Darshan, and Unjal Seva will remain cancelled on that day.
Considering the past experience of a large turnout of women devotees, the JEO instructed officials to make even better arrangements this year.
He ordered to setup the LED screens to enable devotees to witness the Vratam, and ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water and annaprasadams.
Necessary items like kumkum packets, sacred threads (kankanams), and bangles must be prepared in advance.
Devotional bhajan troupes to be invited on the occasion to perform to enhance the spiritual atmosphere.
He advised that the temple, Asthana Mandapam, and surrounding areas be decorated attractively with flowers and lighting.
The JEO emphasized coordination with the local panchayat authorities to maintain cleanliness in the temple surroundings and nearby roads. To avoid traffic and security issues, coordination with the police is essential, he instructed the concerned.
The Varalakshmi Vratam will also be broadcast live on SVBC, and the concerned officials were instructed to make necessary arrangements.
Proper queue lines, pandals, direction boards shall be set up and required number of Srivari Sevaks, sanitation workers, and security personnel shall also be deployed.
The review meeting was attended by Archakas Sri Srinivasacharyulu, Sri Babu Swamy, Sri Manikantha Swamy, Temple Deputy EO Sri. Harindranath, SE (Electrical) Sri Venkateswarlu, Annaprasadam Deputy EO Sri Selvam, Vigilance & Security Officer Sri Surendra, and other officials.
