Pavitrotsavams Begin at Sri Kodandarama Swmay Vari Temple







The annual Pavithrotsavams commenced at the famous and ancient Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Sunday with religious rituals as per Vaikhanasa Agama traditions to purify the temple from any ritual lapses over the past one year.


The Utsava deities of Sri Sita, Rama, and Lakshmana were taken to the Yagashala, where Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed using milk, curd, honey, sandal, turmeric, and coconut water. Later, Sattumora and Asthanam were conducted.

In the evening at 5.30 PM, the deities will be taken on a Golden Tiruchi procession through the temple streets.

Night rituals including Pavitra Pratistha and Sayanadhivasam will be observed.

Dy EO Smt. Nagaratna, AEO Sri Ravi, Superintendent Sri Muni Sekhar, Inspector Sri Suresh, and temple priests participated in this religious event.
