As part of the ongoing Pavithrotsavams at Vontimitta Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Kadapa district, the sacred ritual of Pavitra Samarpana was performed with religious fervour on the second day on Monday.
In the morning, the Utsava idols of Sri Sita Lakshmana Sameta Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy were brought to the Yagashala.
The rituals, including Balabhogam, Chatushtana Archana, Pavitra Homam, Madhyahna Aradhana, Baliharana, and Shattumora were conducted.
At 9 a.m., a grand Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the deities with milk, curd, honey, turmeric, and sandal paste.
Later, Pavitra Malas were offered in the Yagashala and the Utsava deities were ceremoniously taken in procession to the sanctum.
Pavitrams were also offered to all associated deities.
In the evening, Pavitra Homam, Nivedana, and Shattumora will be conducted.
Deputy EO Smt. Prashanti, Superintendent Sri Hanumanthaiah, Temple Inspector Sri Naveen, temple priests, and a large number of devotees took part in this sacred event.
