Pavitrotsavams in Karvetinagaram on 19th and 20th August

The annual Pavithrotsavams will be conducted with grandeur at Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple in Karvetinagaram on August 19 and 20.

Pavithrotsavams are performed annually. These rituals include the purification of the temple and the Punyahavachanam.

As part of the festival:

August 19:

Morning – Acharya Rutvik Varanam 

Evening – Mrutsangrahanam (collection of sacred earth), Senadhipathi Tiruveedhi Utsavam and Ankurarpanam.

August 20:

Morning – Tirumanjanam to the presiding deities and offering of Pavithrams.

Evening (5:30 PM to 7:00 PM) – Veedhi Utsavam (procession in the streets).
