At the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Amaravati, the ritual of Pavitra Samarpana was performed with religious fervor on Wednesday.
The day began with Suprabhata Seva, followed by Tomala Seva, Sahasranamarchana, Koluvu and Panchanga Shravanam. Later, at the Yagashala, Punahavacahanam, Kumbha Aradhana and other principal Homas were performed.
As part of the festivities, Snapana Tirumanjanam was conducted with devotion to the Utsava Murthis of Sri Venkateswara Swamy along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. Later, the Pavitra Malas were consecrated and taken in procession before being offered to the presiding deity, Utsava Murthis, Vishvaksena, Dwarapalakas, Bhashyakaras, Garudalwar, Balipeetham, Dhwajastambham, and other Parivara Devatas.
In the evening, Vedic rituals, Maha Shanti Homam, and Tiruveedhi Utsavam are scheduled to take place.
Temple Superintendent Sri Mallikarjuna, Temple Inspectors Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Sandeep, priests, and a large number of devotees took part in the religious event.
