Sri Varaha Swamy Vari Jayanthi on 25th August

TTD is organizing the Sri Varaha Jayanthi at Tirumala on August 25. 

As part of the festivities in the morning Kalasa Sthapana, Kalasa Puja, Punyahavachanam will be performed ahead of Panchamrutabhisekam to the main deity of Sri Varaha Swamy.

TTD conducts Sri Varaha Jayanti at Tirumala every year in a grand manner as per Agama Shastra.

According to the puranas Sri Maha Vishnu took the incarnation as Sri Varaha Swamy to kill Demon Hiranyaksha and save the Mother Earth-Bhudevi.

In Tirumala also, Sri Bhudevi Sameta Varaha Swamy blesses His devotees every day in the ancient temple located adjacent to Swamy Pushkarini Theertham.
