Pulse Polio Programme in Tirumala on 21st December

As part of the nationwide Pulse Polio campaign, the Pulse Polio immunisation programme will be conducted in Tirumala on December 21.

The programme to administer polio drops to children below five years of age will commence at 7 AM in front of the Tirumala temple and will continue till 5 PM. For the convenience of devotees, Pulse Polio booths have been set up at various locations across Tirumala.

Polio drops will be administered at a total of 25 centres, including Aswini Hospital, RTC Bus Stand, GNC Toll Gate, CRO, PAC 1 and 2, Health Office, Vaikuntham Queue Complex–1 and 2, ATC, MBC-34, Varahaswamy Rest House–1, Rambagicha Rest House–1, Kalyanakatta, Medaramitta, Papavinasanam, Supatham, Balaji Nagar Vinayaka Temple, Balaji Nagar Balabadi, SV High School, inside and outside the Tirumala temple, and employees’ dispensaries.

As part of the awareness drive, an awareness rally will be organised on December 20 at 10 AM, from SV High School to Balaji Nagar. Further, from 2 PM onwards, awareness will be created among pilgrims and local residents through announcements made via jeep campaigns.
