The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkataramana Swamy Temple in Annamayya district commenced on Tuesday with the ceremonial Dhwajarohanam performed between 9.50 am and 10.45 am in Mesha Lagnam.
Earlier, Suprabhatam and Vedic rituals were performed to Sri Kalyana Venkataramana Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi. Special pujas were offered to the Garuda flag before hoisting it atop the Dwajasthambam, inviting all deities for the annual festivities.
In the evening, the deity will bless devotees on Pedda Sesha Vahanam.
The temple premises and Mada streets have been decorated with electrical illumination and floral arrangements. Shelters, queue lines and barricades have been arranged for devotees’ convenience.
Vahana Sevas will be conducted daily from 8.00 am to 11.00 am and 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
The programmes were attended by temple officials, archakas and devotees.
