Ankurarpanam for PushpaYagam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswa Swamy Vari Temple in 14th March

Ankurarpanam for the Pushpayagam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram will be performed on March 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

It may be noted that the annual Brahmotsavams of the temple were held from February 8 to 16. Pushpayagam is performed as a ritual of atonement for any lapses that might have occurred knowingly or unknowingly by priests, officials or devotees during the Brahmotsavams. It is believed that the ritual removes all such doshas.

As part of the programme, Snapana Tirumanjanam to the utsava deities of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi will be performed on March 15 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with milk, curd, honey, turmeric, sandalwood and coconut water.

Later, Pushpayagam will be conducted from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., during which the deities will be worshipped with various flowers including tulasi, chrysanthemum, oleander, mogali, jasmine, jaaji, sampangi, rose and lotus.

From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the processional deities will be taken on Tiruchi along the four Mada streets of the temple, blessing the devotees.

Tickets will be available at the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram from March 14. Couples (two persons) can participate in the Pushpayagam by purchasing a ticket priced at Rs.516/-.

In view of the Pushpayagam, TTD has cancelled the Nitya Kalyanotsavam seva on March 15.
