On Tuesday, the sacred Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was conducted with grandeur at Chandragiri Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple. This ritual is traditionally performed ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams, which will be held from March 28 to April 6.
The Tirumanjanam took place between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The sanctum sanctorum, shrines of Sri Anjaneya Swamy and Sri Garutmanta, temple premises, walls, ceilings, and all puja materials were cleansed with water. Later, holy water mixed with aromatic substances such as Namakopu, Srichurnam, Kasturi turmeric, pachhaaku, edible camphor, sandalwood powder, kumkum, and kicheeligadda was sprinkled throughout the temple. After purification, devotees were allowed darshan.
Temple Inspector Sri Dinesh Kumar, priests, and other officials participated in the program.
Ankurarpanam on March 27
The Ankurarpanam for the Brahmotsavams will be held on March 27 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This includes Senadhipati Utsavam, Vishvaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Vastu Puja, and Ankurarpanam.
Dwajarohanam on March 28
On March 28, Dwajarohanam will be performed between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. On March 31, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Snapan Tirumanjanam will be conducted for Sri Kodandarama Swamy along with Sita and Lakshmana. On April 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Lord will bless devotees while riding on Hanuman Vahana.
Kalyanotsavam on April 3
On April 3, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the divine wedding of Sri Sita Rama will be celebrated. In the evening, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Lord will appear on Garuda Vahana. Devotees can participate in the Kalyanotsavam by paying ₹750 (for two persons).
Chakrasnanam on April 5
On April 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Snapan Tirumanjanam and Chakrasnanam will be performed for the deities and Chakrathalwar. The Brahmotsavams will conclude with Dwajavarohanam at 6 p.m.
Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on April 6
On April 6, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the grand Sri Rama Pattabhishekam will be celebrated. During the Brahmotsavams, every evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Unjal Seva will be performed.
