Sports Essential to Provide Better Services to Devotees - TTD Welfare Officer

 









TTD Welfare Department Deputy Executive Officer Sri Anandaraju stated that sports are essential for physical and mental development in today’s fast-paced modern lifestyle and also help employees provide better services to devotees. The closing ceremony of the TTD Employees’ Annual Sports Meet was held grandly on Friday evening at Mahati Kalakshetram in Tirupati.


Speaking on the occasion, he said that TTD employees discharge their duties under considerable pressure. Participating in sports helps reduce stress and maintain good physical health. He added that sports bring out hidden talents within individuals. He advised employees to make it a habit to engage in sports and exercise every day, noting that a strong sporting spirit among employees would keep them healthy and enable them to perform their duties more efficiently.


TTD Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. T. Ravi said that participation in sports enhances competitiveness and brings mental refreshment. He noted that sports increase mental enthusiasm and motivate employees to work with greater energy in the organization. He also emphasized that sports and music are essential for everyone to remain healthy.


He further mentioned that retired employees above 80 years of age also enthusiastically participate in the annual TTD sports events every year, setting an inspiring example for the employees.


Later, cultural competitions were conducted for the children of TTD employees and prizes were distributed to the winners.


Prizes were presented to the winners of various sports competitions by Welfare Officer Sri Anandaraju and Deputy EO Sri Govindarajan.


In these competitions, a total of 616 employees won first prizes, 533 secured second prizes and 106 received third prizes. Altogether, 2,400 employees and retired staff from various departments participated in the sports events, including 1,600 male employees and 800 female employees.


TTD CAO Sri Venkataramana, Chief Audit Officer Sri Venkateswara Rao, DE Sri Chandrasekhar, IT Assistant General Manager Sri Venkateswarlu Naidu and a large number of employees attended the programme.
