Sri Malayappa Swamy Varu with Sridevi and Bhoodevi Taken on Float Procession

As part of the annual Salakatla Teppotsavams at Tirumala, Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi was taken on a float procession on Saturday night, the third day of the festival.

Earlier in the evening at 6 PM, the procession of the Utsava idols of Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi commenced. The procession passed through the four Mada streets of the temple and reached the Swami Pushkarini.

The deities were taken on the float three times around the Pushkarini, blessing devotees.

The Teppotsavam was held in a spiritually vibrant atmosphere amidst traditional Mangala Vadyams, Vedic chanting by Vedic scholars, and devotional sankeertanas rendered by artistes of the Annamacharya Project, making it a visual and devotional spectacle.

As part of the festivities, special electrical illuminations depicting Dashavatara forms, Panduranga, and Sri Padmavathi–Srinivasa around the Swami Pushkarini attracted devotees in large numbers.

TTD Executive Officer Sri Muddada Ravichandra, several Board Members, Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, CV&SO Sri Muralikrishna, and other officials participated in the programme.
