TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri C.H. Venkayya Chowdary stated that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, is a guiding force for building an egalitarian society. The message of equality resonated throughout Mahati Kalakshetram in Tirupati as the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was celebrated grandly under the aegis of TTD on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional EO said that Ambedkar Jayanti should be viewed not merely as a celebration but as a festival of social equality. He lauded Dr. Ambedkar’s immense contribution towards safeguarding the rights of citizens, workers, farmers, women, and marginalized communities in nation-building. He noted that Ambedkar strengthened the executive, legislative, and judicial systems and framed the Constitution to ensure justice for all. He added that India continues to progress in all spheres guided by the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity.
TTD CVSO Sri K.V. Muralikrishna said that Dr. Ambedkar was a महान leader who, despite facing numerous adversities, guided people towards awareness and empowerment. He described him as a visionary who provided clear direction to the nation.
Renowned journalist Sri M. Satish Chander, the chief guest, said that no other constitutional architect in the world has received the kind of respect that Dr. Ambedkar has. He praised Ambedkar as a great leader who provided a stable framework for India and shaped its future.
Another speaker, Prof. Dr. Chintakindi Kasim from Osmania University, described Ambedkar as a far-sighted leader who steered the nation towards secularism and socialism. He said Ambedkar’s struggles for water rights, women’s education, and social justice remain exemplary.
TTD Trust Board Member Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi stated that it was due to the rights ensured by Ambedkar that she had the opportunity to serve as a Union Minister. She advised the youth to make the best use of opportunities provided by the government and rise to higher positions.
As part of the program, rituals were first performed to the idol of the Lord, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar. Cultural programs presented by a Vijayawada troupe under the leadership of Kala Ratna Sri Rangam Rajesh captivated the audience.
Communal Awards Presented to 60 Employees
On this occasion, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Communal Awards were presented to 60 TTD employees. Each awardee was honored with a 5-gram silver dollar and a portrait of Dr. Ambedkar. Prizes were also distributed to winners of quiz and essay writing competitions. Dignitaries and speakers were felicitated.
The program was conducted under the supervision of Deputy EO (Welfare) Sri A. Anandaraju. TTD PRO Dr. T. Ravi, employee union leaders, staff, and students attended the event in large numbers.
