SRI VEDANARAYANA SWAMY RATHOTSAVAM HELD GRANDLY AMID GOVINDA CHANTS

As part of the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Vedanarayana Swamy Temple, the grand Rathotsavam was held with religious fervour on Friday morning.

Sri Vedanarayana Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi was taken in a majestic chariot procession through the four mada streets amid Govinda chants, bhajans, drum beats and devotional programmes. Devotees enthusiastically pulled the chariot and offered Harathi at various points.

After the procession, Veda Parayanam, Prabandham and Sathumora were performed followed by Maha Harathi. Snapana Tirumanjanam was also conducted to the deities. Ashwa Vahana Seva will be held at 7.30 pm.

Temple officials, Superintendent Sri Srinivasulu Reddy, Temple Inspector Sri Chengal Rayulu and a large number of devotees participated in the event.

Chakrasnanam on May 9

Chakrasnanam will be held on Saturday from 10.30 am to 11.45 am. The annual Brahmotsavams will conclude with Dwajavarohanam at 7.30 pm.
