Director S. V. Krishna Reddy’s 75th birthday was celebrated in Hyderabad in a grand manner. Many prominent personalities of film industry participated in the function. Among them, veteran producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao delivered a speech that won the appreciation of everyone present.
Speaking on the occasion, Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao said:
"It is unbearably hot outside, but at S. V. Krishna Reddy garu’s function, it feels as though we are sitting amidst the snowy mountains of Kashmir. Thanks to good-hearted people like Eenadu Chairman Ramoji Rao garu, Managing Director Ram Mohan Rao garu, my friends S. V. Krishna Reddy garu and Achi Reddy garu, our film industry has remained so vibrant and strong.
It has been a long time since members of the industry came together and celebrated an event in such a warm and homely atmosphere. For nearly four decades, it is because of great personalities like them that Telugu cinema has produced so many magnificent films. The film industry was once a holiday home, hung with fresh green festoons.
Films directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy garu, such as Yamaleela, Ghatotkachudu, and Egire Paavurama, achieved one success after another. Even while working with many leading stars, he created a unique brand of his own. There were occasions when a single film of his kept theatres thriving for an entire year.
I sincerely wish that such a wonderful director lives a healthy life for a hundred years and completes a hundred films. I also hope that through him, our film industry regains its glorious old days.
I have been watching Krishna Reddy garu since my childhood, and he looks exactly the same even today. He must reveal the secret behind that to all of us," he joked.
"Just as your health has remained excellent, I wish for our film industry to remain healthy as well. We do not see this as merely S. V. garu’s birthday celebration; it feels like a celebration in our own family, as if it were the birthday of one of our brothers."
