Sri Periyalwar Utsavam from 16th to 25th June

The annual Sri Periyalwar Utsavam will be observed with religious fervour from June 16 to 25 at Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Temple, attached to Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, Tirupati.

During the festivities, HH Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, along with their disciples, will recite Divya Prabandham Pasurams every morning and evening before Sri Periyalwar.

On June 25, Tirumanjanam will be performed to Sri Periyalwar in the morning. In the evening, Sri Govindaraja Swamy on Garuda Vahanam and Sri Periyalwar on Gaja Vahanam will bless devotees in a procession through the four Mada Streets.

Sri Periyalwar is revered as a great devotee of Lord Mahavishnu and the father of Sri Andal.
