Garuda Seva Held









The pleasant evening on Tuesday witnessed Sri Kodanda Rama flanked by Sita Devi and Lakshmana Swamy on the mighty Garuda Vahana.


Dazzling in silk clothes and colourful flower garlands with precious ornaments, the deities proceeded along the mada streets to bless devotees.


Large gathering of devotees are seen giving Haratis at each junction during the procession.


Temple DyEO Sri Natesh Babu, Manuscript Special Officer Smt Vijayalakshmi and other office staff were also present.

Rama as Navaneeta Krishna Blesses Devotees











Sri Rama as Navaneetha Krishna blessed devotees on the third day of ongoing annual brahmotsavams at Vontimitta Kodanda Ramalayam on Monday.


Deputy EO Sri Natesh Babu, Manuscript Special Officer Smt Vijayalakshmi, AEO Sri Gopal Rao and other staffs, devotees participated.

Teppotsavam Begins









The traditional Sri Kodandarama Swamy Khanija Tototsavam was observed on Monday.


Every year, after annual brahmotsavam, this festival will be observed in the well-situated at the Old Huzur Office.


Later in the evening, the utsava deities reached Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini and Teppotsavam was observed.


Sri Sita Lakshmana sameta Sri Ramachandra Swamy has taken three rounds on the finely decked float.


TTD Trust Board member Sri Maruti Prasad, DyEO Smt Nagaratna, Superintendent Sri Ramesh Kumar and others were present.


TTD Gears up for Vontimitta Kalyanam on 5th April



On the auspicious occasion of the mega religious event of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa District on April 5, TTD has come out with a series of religious, traditional, cultural and devotional events on the day.


As a part of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams at Vontimitta Sri Kodanda Ramalayam, the event will take place between 8pm and 10pm on April 5 at Kalyana Vedika. Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel of TTD will live telecast the State Festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam for the sake of global devotees.


In the evening between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, Sri Rama Namamritam, a devotional cultural programme will be presented by the artists of the Annamacharya Project, followed by Dance ballet by the students of SV College of Music and Dance under the supervision of the Principal Dr Uma Muddubala between 6.15pm and  7.45pm.


The divine wedding ceremony commence at 8pm. Before that, "Kanta Korika", followed by Edurkolu Utsavam will be observed. Bhagavat Vignapanam, Sabha Anugna, Sankalpam for the welfare of humanity will be performed. Later Punyahavachanam, Rakshabandhanam, Yagnopaveetadharanam, Varapresanam or Kanyavaranam, Madhuparkarchanam, Maha Sankalam followed by Kanyadanam, Vamsawaroopam, Agnipratishtapanam, Mangalastakam will be rendered.


The series of wedding proceedings includes Mangalya Pooja, Mangalasutra Dharana, Akshataropanam, followed by Nivedana, Veda Swasti, and concludes with Mahadaseervachanam. At 11pm, Gaja Vahana Seva will be observed.


Annual Vasanthotsavam Commences













The Annual Vasanthotsavam commenced on a grand religious note in Tirumala on Monday.


Usually Vasanthotsavam is performed in Tirumala during the auspicious days of Trayodasi, Chaturdasi and Pournami in the month of Chaitra (March/April) every year.


According to the temple Legend, the Vasanthotsavam Festival was started during the period of King Achyutaraya in 1460's.


This annual fete was believed to have introduced by the King to mark the arrival of Spring Season. Srivaru and His Consorts are given aromatic bath on Monday giving a soothing relief to the deities from the scorching Sun.


Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi were brought to beautifully decorated Vasanta Mandapam. Snapana Thirumanjanam with aromatic ingredients) is performed to the deities by one of the Pradhana Archakas Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu.


Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, Temple DyEOl Sri Ramesh Babu, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu and others were present.


Devotees also participated.


'SPRING' FOREST RECREATED: The vasanta mandapam has been decorated matching the occasion. The colourful flora and fauna of Seshachala ranges has been recreated by Garden wing of TTD.

Hanumantha Vahana Seva Held













As part of the ongoing annual brahmotsavam at Vontimitta Kodanda Ramalayam, Hanumantha Vahana Seva was held with utmost religious fervour on Monday evening.


Deputy EO Sri Natesh Babu, Manuscripts Special Officer Smt Vijayalakshmi and others were present.


Cultural events: The devotional cultural programmes organised by the TTD on the occasion, allured the devotees.

Allari Naresh, Vijay Kanakamedala, Shine Screens Ugram Releasing Worldwide On May 5th





Allari Naresh and Vijay Kanakamedala’s team work is turning out to be one of the craziest combinations in Telugu. While their first movie together Naandhi was a critically acclaimed and commercial success, their second movie Ugram is carrying a positive buzz.


As part of promotions, they released a teaser that showed Naresh in a serious cop role and the video was well-received among all sections. They also began musical promotions on a blockbuster note with the first single Deveri getting a terrific response.

The makers today announced the film’s release date. Ugram will hit the screens on May 5th as one of the biggest summer attractions. Allari Naresh looks intense in the release date poster which is from an action sequence in the movie.

Billed to be an action thriller, Ugram is produced grandly by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner of Shine Screens. Toom Venkat provided the story, whereas Abburi Ravi penned dialogues.

Sid handles cinematography for the movie, while Sricharan Pakala composed the music. Chota K Prasad is the editor and Brahma Kadali is the production designer.
