Varalakshmi Vratam Observed with Grandeur at Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple

The auspicious Varalakshmi Vratam was performed with religious fervour and grandeur on Friday at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor.

As part of the ritual, the Goddess was awakened with Suprabhatam in the early hours, followed by Sahasranamarchana, Nitya Archana, and Abhishekam to the Moolavarlu and Utsav Murthies. On this sacred occasion, the deity was adorned in a special golden saree, captivating devotees with her divine appearance.

Later, the Utsava Murthy of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru was taken to the Asthana Mandapam and seated on the specially decorated Padma Peetham.

A series of rituals included Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Kalasha Sthapana, Anga Puja, Lakshmi Sahasranama Archana, and Ashtottara Sata Namavali were observed.

The Goddess was worshipped with traditional flowers like rose, jasmine, chrysanthemum, maruvam, tulasi, lotus, and others.

A unique decoration with nine sacred threads was offered to the Goddess, symbolising nine divine forms.

The Agama Advisor of the temple Sri Srinivasacharyulu elaborated on the significance of Varalakshmi Vratam as mentioned in the Bhavishyottara Purana, where Sage Vyasa explained the procedure and benefits.

He recalled how Lord Siva narrated this Vratam to Parvati Devi and the tale of Charumathi, a devotee from the Treta Yuga, who attained divine blessings by observing the Vratam.

As per legends, Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru is considered as an incarnation of Mahalakshmi Herself, and women observing this Vratam are being blessed with progeny, longevity, prosperity, and family welfare.

Twelve varieties of Naivedyam were presented to the Goddess, followed by Maha Mangala Harathi, marking the conclusion of the event.

TTD's Elaborate Arrangements

TTD Executive Officer Sri J. Syamala Rao, speaking to media, said the Varalakshmi Vratam was conducted in a grand and spiritually enriching manner at the temple.

Prasadam distribution was arranged for every devotee. A large number of women devotees took part in the vratam.

To ensure a smooth experience, separate queue lines, Annaprasadam, drinking water, and buttermilk stalls were arranged. The ritual was also broadcast live on SVBC for the benefit of global devotees.

Ashtalakshmi Mandapam – A Visual Treat

The TTD Garden Department, under the supervision of Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, crafted an enchanting Ashtalakshmi Mandapam at the Asthana Mandapam using 3 tonnes of traditional flowers and 30,000 cut flowers, over 3 days of dedicated work by 40 staff members.

The floral decoration featured fruits like apples and citrus, divine figures of Gaja Lakshmi, and twin Airavathas that captured the devotees' attention. The entire area was beautifully adorned with colorful flowers like roses and lotus. The floral setup was sponsored by a donor from Chennai.

LED Screens for Devotee Convenience

To facilitate viewing, five LED screens were installed at key locations: Asthana Mandapam, Pushkarini, Vahana Mandapam, Friday Gardens, and Tholappa Garden.

Swarna Ratham Procession

In the evening at 6:00 PM, the Goddess will bless devotees during the Swarna Ratham procession through the four Mada streets surrounding the temple.

తిరుచానూరు శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారి ఆలయ ఆస్థాన మండపంలో శుక్రవారం వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతం వైభవంగా జరిగింది.

వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతం సందర్భంగా వేకువజామున అమ్మవారిని సుప్రభాతంతో మేల్కొలిపి సహస్రనామార్చన, నిత్యార్చన, మూలవర్లకు, ఉత్సవర్లకు అభిషేకం నిర్వహించారు. ఈ పర్వదినాన అమ్మవారు బంగారు చీరతో విశేష అలంకరణలో భక్తులకు దర్శనమిచ్చారు.

అనంతరం శ్రీ పద్మావతీ అమ్మవారి ఉత్సవమూర్తిని ఆస్థాన మండపానికి వేంచేపు చేసి పద్మపీఠంపై ఆశీనులను చేశారు. అక్కడ విష్వక్సేనారాధన, పుణ్యాహవచనం, కలశస్థాపన, అమ్మవారి ఆరాధన, అంగపూజ, లక్ష్మీ సహస్రనామార్చన, అష్టోతర శత నామావళి నిర్వహించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా అమ్మవారిని రోజా, చామంతి, మల్లె, సంపంగి, తులసి, పన్నీరు ఆకు, మరువము, తామరపూలు, వృక్షి వంటి సాంప్రదాయ పుష్పాలతో అమ్మవారిని ఆరాధించారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా అమ్మవారిని 9 గ్రంథులతో(నూలుపోగు) అలంకరించారు. ఒక్కో గ్రంథిని ఒక్కో దేవతకు గుర్తుగా ఆరాధించారు.

భవిష్యోత్తర పురాణంలో వ్యాస భగవానుడు వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతం పూజావిధానాన్ని, మహత్యాన్ని తెలియజేశారని ఆలయ అర్చకులు శ్రీ శ్రీనివాస ఆచార్యులు తెలిపారు. పూర్వం శంకరుడు పార్వతిదేవికి ఈ వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతం విశిష్ఠత, ఆచరించవలసిన విధానాన్ని తెలియ చేసినట్లు పురాణాల ద్వారా తెలుస్తోందన్నారు. త్రేతాయుగంలో కుండలినీ నగరంలో నివసించిన చారుమతి అనే భక్తురాలు వరలక్ష్మీ నోము ఆచరించి పొందిన ఫల ప్రదాన్ని ఈ సందర్భంగా వివరించారు. సాక్షాత్తు శ్రీ మహాలక్ష్మి ప్రీతితో తిరుచానూరులో శ్రీ పద్మావతీ అమ్మవారు అవతరించారని, వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతంలో పాల్గొన్న మహిళలకు సత్సంతానం, దీర్ఘమాంగల్యసౌఖ్యం, సిరిసంపదలు, ఆరోగ్యం, కుటుంబ సౌఖ్యం వంటి ఎన్నో మహాఫలాలు కలుగుతాయని పురాణాల ద్వారా తెలుస్తోందన్నారు.

తరువాత 12 రకాల వివిధ నైవేద్యాలను అమ్మవారికి నివేదించారు. అనంతరం మహా మంగళ హరతితో వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతం ముగిసింది.

ఈ సందర్భంగా టిటిడి ఈవో శ్రీ జె.శ్యామల రావు మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ, వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతం సందర్భంగా శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారి ఆలయంలో వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతాన్ని అత్యంత వైభవంగా నిర్వహించినట్లు చెప్పారు.

ఆలయానికి వచ్చిన ప్రతి భక్తుడికి అమ్మవారి ప్రసాదాలు అందించేలా చర్యలు చేపట్టామన్నారు.

మహిళలు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో వ్రతంలో పాల్గొన్నట్లు తెలిపారు. భక్తులకు ఎలాంటి ఇబ్బందులు లేకుండా ప్రత్యేక క్యూలైన్లు, అన్నప్రసాదాలు, తాగునీరు, మజ్జిగ, తదితర ఏర్పాట్లు చేశామన్నారు. వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతాన్ని భక్తులు వీక్షించేలా ఎస్వీబీసీ ద్వారా ప్రత్యక్ష ప్రసారాలు అందించామన్నారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా ఏపీ, తెలంగాణ వ్యాప్తంగా టిటిడికి చెందిన 52 ఆలయాల్లో 8 లక్షల గాజులు, 1.60 లక్షల కంకణాలు, 1.60 లక్షల పసుపు దారాలు, 1.60 లక్షల కుంకుమ ప్యాకెట్లు, లక్ష్మీ అష్టోత్తర శతనామావళి పుస్తక ప్రసాదాలను అందించామన్నారు.

భక్తులను విశేషంగా అకట్టుకున్న వ్రత మండపం

టిటిడి ఉద్యానవన విభాగం ఆధ్యర్యంలో ఆస్థాన మండపంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన వ్రత మండపం భక్తులను విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకుంది. 40 మంది సిబ్బంది, 3 ట‌న్నుల సంప్రదాయ పుష్పాలు, ఆరు రకాల 30 వేల కట్ ఫ్లవర్స్ తో మూడు రోజుల పాటు శ్రమించి అమ్మవారి ఆలయం, ఆస్థాన మండపం, వ్రత మండపాన్ని సర్వాంగ సుందరంగా అలంకరించారు.

ఇందులో బత్తాయి, ఆపిల్ వంటి ఫలాలు, వివిధ సంప్రదాయ పుష్పాలతో వ్రత మండపాన్ని అద్భుతంగా రూపొందించారు. మండపం పైభాగంలో గజ లక్ష్మీ అమ్మవారు, కింది భాగంలో రెండు వైపుల ఐరావతాలు ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచాయి. ఆస్థాన మండపాన్ని అష్టలక్ష్మి మూర్తులతో, రోజాలు, తామరపూలు లాంటి రంగురంగుల పుష్పాలతో శోభాయమానంగా అలంకరించారు. చెన్నైకి చెందిన దాత విరాళంతో పుష్పాలంకరణ చేపట్టామని ఉద్యానవన విభాగం డెప్యూటీ డైరెక్టర్ శ్రీ శ్రీనివాసులు తెలిపారు.

భక్తులందరూ వ్రతాన్ని వీక్షించేందుకు వీలుగా ఆస్థాన మండపంలో, పుష్కరిణి వద్ద, వాహన మండపం వద్ద, ఫ్రైడే గార్డెన్స్, తొలప్ప గార్డెన్ వద్ద కలిపి 5 ఎల్ఇడి స్క్రీన్లు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

స్వర్ణరథోత్పవం

వరలక్ష్మీ వ్రతం సందర్భంగా సాయంత్రం 6 గంటలకు అమ్మవారు స్వర్ణరథంపై ఆలయ నాలుగు మాడ వీధుల్లో విహరించి భక్తులను కటాక్షించనున్నారు.

Pavitrotsavams Concludes inTondamanadu

The annual Pavitrotsavams at Tondamanpuram on Saturday morning with Purnahuti.

At 10:30 a.m., Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the Utsava Murthies of Sri Devi, Bhu Devi sameta and Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy.

In the evening, at 6 p.m., a ceremonial Grama Utsavam will be conducted with the processional deities mounted on the Tiruchi.

The temple superintendent, Sri Gnanaprakash, temple inspector Sri Sudhir, and temple priests participated in the program.

Sravna Upakarma at Sri Govindraja Swmay Vari Temple on 9th August

Sravana Upakarma will be observed at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati on the occasion of Sravana Pournami on August 09.

As part of the rituals, at 6:30 AM, Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Sri Krishna Swamy will be taken to Alwar Theertham at Kapilateertham, where Snapana Tirumanjanam and Asthanam will be performed.

Later, at 4:30 PM, Sri Bhu Sameta Govindaraja Swamy will visit the Sri Vaikhanasacharyulu Temple located at R.S. Mada Street, where Asthanam will be conducted, after which the deities will return to the main temple.
