The annual Brahmotsavams at the Chandragiri Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple commenced in a grand manner on Saturday morning with the ceremonial Dhwajarohanam. Special rituals were performed in the temple on this auspicious occasion.
As part of this, the Dwajarohanam ritual was conducted between 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., symbolically inviting all deities to participate in the Brahmotsavams. The priests performed a special puja to the sacred flag bearing the image of Garutmanta (Garuda). Amid Vedic chants by priests and the chanting of “Rama Nama” by devotees, the sacred flag was hoisted on the Dwajasthambam. The ceremony was conducted under the supervision of Kankana Bhattar Sri Srinivasa Bhattar.
Temple Superintendent Sri Gnanaprakash, Temple Inspector Sri Dinesh, and a large number of devotees participated in the programme.
