Kerala Police keeps a vigilant watch on Sabarimala
The Kerala Police has not left any stone unturned when it comes to security. They are mending every security lapses and this time has been ready with full proof security measures as part of the ongoing pilgrimage season at Sabarimala. The CCTV surveillance at Nilakkal, Pampa, and Sannidhanam have been heightened. The cameras have the facility to record visuals in 360 degrees and such 136 cameras have been installed in different places. The control rooms in Pampa and Sannidhanam will review the visuals from all these cameras. Since the data of the offenders and criminals have been fed into the computer, their presence in the areas of Sabarimala can be detected through the visuals. This system also helps in identifying the wild animals and to prevent crimes in Sabarimala.
District Collector, District Police Chief, and the higher authorities can see the visuals from these cameras live. So that they can also give instructions to the officials working in Sabarimala. The visuals can be recorded and kept it from years with a new 18TB server.
Emergency Health Centres help to devotees with cardiac problems
The medical centres have become operationalized since the start of the Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season. Out of the 15 cardia arrest cases reported in the centre, 12 of them have been saved.
The centres have been at Pampa, Neelimala Bottom, Neelimala middle, Neelimala top, Appachimedu bottom, Appachimedu middle, Appachimedu top, Forest camp, Marakkottam, Queue complex, Saramkuthy. Vavar nada, Pandithavalam, Charalmedu, Charalmedu bend 11, Charalmedu bend 5, Karimala.
The centres have the facility to check the blood pressure, oxygen level in the blood and the resuscitation facility. The EMCs have the service of two staff nurses and two volunteers in each turn. In the year 2017-18 2,63,473 devotees have sought treatment in the centres. In 2018-19, 2,28,370 devotees sought help.

Mission Green to make Sabarimala plastic-free
Plastic menace in Sabarimala has become one of the woes every pilgrimage season. To tackle it the Suchitwa Mission and District Administration have been bringing out many awareness programmes among the devotes. Last year also the two have been teamed in spreading the message of making Sabarimala clean and green and free the abode of Lord Ayyappa from plastic wastes. This year they have come up with action plans to make Sabarimala free of plastics. Forest Department, Kudumbasree Mission, Police, Information and Public Relations Department will join in their mission.
All Set for Padvathi Ammavari Brahmotsavams
Tiruchanoor, 21 Nov. 19: The pilgrim centre of Tiruchanoor is all set ready to celebrate the nine-day annual brahmotsavams from November 23 with Ankurarpanam on November 22.
The annual brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru will be observed with celestial grandeur for nine days every year in the auspicious month of Karthika. This year the most important celestial fete commences with Dhwajarohanam in the designated Vrischika Laganam between 8.30am and 8.50 am.
VAHANA SEVA ADVANCES IN NIGHT
To facilitate pilgrims, TTD has advanced vahana Seva in the nights by half an hour. Instead of 8pm the vahanas will commence by 7.30pm and last till 11pm.
ALL ARRANGEMENTS IN PLACE
Meanwhile,e all the departments have geared up for the mega religious festival which is considered the next most important and challenging fete after Tirumala Srivari annual brahmotsavams.
TTD has made elaborate arrangements under the instructions of TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and in the supervision of JEO Sri P Basanth Kumar which included engineering works like barricading, setting up of queue lines, LED screens, Annaprasadam counters, addititonal temporary toilets etc to meet the needs of the pilgrim devotees who are expected to throng this religious fete during these nine days especially on the day of Gaja Vahanam, Rathotsavam and Panchami Theertham.
Apart from the regular security and local police, nearly 1000 numbers of Srivari Sevakulu, NCC and Scouts have also been deployed for this big fest.
